How to Achieve 86,718 (It's Not Complex)
Hey disruptor, does this Look familiar?
You spend hours crafting the perfect Reel, pouring your heart and soul into the content.
You hit post, brimming with excitement, only to be met with... crickets.
Disappointment sets in. "social media just isn't for me", is what you tell yourself.
Wrong! Social media is a goldmine for leads and brand awareness, but only if you know how to play the game. Yes, it IS a game.
There's a formula for crafting reels that STOP THE SCROLL and turn viewers into raving fans. This formula is all about understanding human psychology and delivering valuable content in a way that keeps them hooked.
Understand this, there's a war happening for attention on social media feeds. Thousands of posts are fighting to stop the scroll, and if you don't have a powerful hook, your message gets lost in the noise.
I'm not talking about a bunch of theories. From the last five out of six reels I posted, I racked up a total of 86,718 views. That's because I used frameworks like AIDA, PAS, and PASTOR to structure my content and deliver value that resonates with viewers.
Captivating Headlines
Weak Examples
"Want to Save More Money?" - It's generic, lacks urgency, and feels like it could lead to a boring lecture.
"Improve Your Habits for a Better Life" is vague, overused, and doesn't promise a specific outcome.
Powerful Examples
"Tired of Being Broke? This Simple Trick Changed My Finances Forever"—The urgency ("tired of being broke") and the promise of a "trick" spark curiosity.
"3 Things I Did to Stop Sabotaging My Goals (and How You Can Too)"—The relatable struggle and the offer of a solution draw the reader in.
Additional Tips for Crafting Powerful Headlines:
Numbers: "5 Mindset Shifts to Build Wealth"
Controversy: "Why Traditional Budgeting Advice is Failing You"
"How To" Format: "How to Break Free from Paycheck-to-Paycheck Living"
Remember, your headline is the first impression. Make it count!
Value Bombs:
People don't have time to waste. I deliver high-impact information in bite-sized chunks, using frameworks like AIDA, PAS, and PASTOR to ensure my message is clear and concise.
Understanding Your Audience:
It's not about shoving your product or information down their throats. I understand what my audience craves right now, and I tailor my content to give them what they desire, even if it's different from what I envisioned. You need to give people what they want and not what you want them to have (at least initially). Learn to accept that you may be trying to provide an orange to someone, but some people only want the peel, which is ok. You will lose them all together if you try to force the orange.
As you can tell, I practice what I preach. This email's subject line is what caused you to become interested in it. I never indicated in the subject line that the 86,718 was money (I never added a $). Some of you were curious about the very specific number. Had I chosen a weak "hook," there was no way that I could stand a chance against the hundreds of emails you receive daily.
I hope you enjoyed this letter,
Jordon
