Stop Chasing Success. Start Studying It.

Legends weren't born great; they became great...

The path to greatness can be frustrating.

It's tempting to think remarkable achievements result from pure talent or luck. But the truth is – greatness is studied and learned.

The secret to unlocking your potential lies in studying those who have already walked the path. By dissecting their strategies, mindsets, and failures, you gain a blueprint for your journey to extraordinary accomplishment.

I've always had a vision for myself, a dream of achieving greatness in the financial space, but the path seemed unclear.

Then, I began to study a mix of biographies, autobiographies, podcasts, and success-focused books. Piece by piece, I discovered a common thread woven through them all.

The authors and subjects shared traits like unwavering faith, a commitment to constant learning, and a focus on self-improvement. These traits mirrored my own values and characteristics.

As I grew in my understanding of myself and pursued my goals, I also started to see that many successful business professionals' attitudes, views, and philosophies echoed what had already been on my mind.

Here's why studying greatness works:

  • You demystify success: Legends weren't born great. They made choices, developed skills, and overcame obstacles. Studying them breaks down the seemingly impossible into achievable steps.

  • You identify patterns: Greatness doesn't happen by accident. Analyzing the greats reveals everyday habits, principles, and mindsets that fueled their rise.

  • You intensify your growth: Learning from the masters saves you from making the same mistakes. You tap into a wealth of proven strategies, shortening your path to success.

Wise minds throughout history have understood this principle:

  • "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants." – Isaac Newton.

  • "Good artists copy, great artists steal." – Pablo Picasso (This refers to transformative inspiration, not plagiarism)

  • "If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do, and you'll achieve the same results." – Tony Robbins.

How to put this into practice:

  1. Choose your role models: Identify figures in your field or areas where you wish to excel. Choose people whose work you admire and whose values align with yours.

  2. Intense Study: Read their biographies, watch interviews, and analyze their work. Look beyond the highlight reel to understand their struggles and how they persevered.

  3. Seek mentorship: Find a mentor who has walked a similar path. Their guidance can be invaluable.

  4. Apply what you learn: Knowledge is useless without action. Experiment, adapt, and find what works for you.

Greatness is not about blind imitation. It's about understanding the underlying principles, adapting them to your unique circumstances, and building your extraordinary path.

Have a great weekend,
